The cutest summer outfit you ever did see

7.09.2017

When it comes to summer style I’m more of a chuck on a pair of denim dungarees and get out the house kinda girl.

However, this week I have fully embraced a cute summer sun dress in all its glory.

Firstly, I should point out that this is not actually my dress, it’s my twin sisters (hey Lou). She came home for the weekend and I was so jel of her new subtle polka dot number I literally made her take it off her back and give it to me.

But what fun is it being a twin if you can’t demand them to stand nakey nakey in your room whilst you steal their clothes.

Anyway, I digress….

As much as I love this bargain £17.99 Zara number (guys, go check out the Zara sale it is REAL) I was mostly just excited that there was a new oh-so cute summer dress in the house.

You see, a few weeks ago I went on a Primark run (like literal ‘run’ as I was late for my train), but tbh I wasn’t overwhelmed by their new season, which wasn’t too much of a surprise as I usually steer clear of Primark’s clothes, instead heading straight for the accessories section.

On this particular day I was on my way to pick up a pair of £1 shades as I had left mine at home and it was H-O-T. To get there I walked past the kids section and stopped in my tracks as I spotted a tres cute wicker bag which had ‘sunshine’ embroidered on it.

As I stepped towards it, it dawned on me that I have never owned anything wicker as my idea of accessories in the summer only go as far as a backpack and bucket hat. However, at this particular moment in time I found myself being drawn to the impractical bag because it was just too cuuuuuute.

I then saw a shining beacon of light as I looked up and saw a matching hat. My heart skipped a beat, and inside I was screaming, “OMG THERE’S A F*CKING MATCHING HAAAAAT!!!!!”

I quickly looked left and right, cos duh I didn’t want anyone catching my 24 year-old-self trying on things in the kids section that would be my street cred finito.

Luckily, I have a teeny weeny head so it fitted perfectly, in fact, a lot better than any adult headgear which is usually off with just one little poof of wind.

And that is the full story of ‘that one with the stolen dress and kids accessories’

Hope you’ve enjoyed it - until next time
